What is Mosaiculture?

Mosaiculture differs from topiary where single plants are pruned to achieve decorative shapes of birds or animals. Rather, Mosaiculture begins with a wire frame and mesh skeleton into which soil is packed. A variety of flowers and plants are set into the soil to create unique mosaic-like images and forms by drawing on each plant’s unique colouring and characteristics.

Types of Mosaiculture

Mosaiculture can be two or three dimensional.

Two Dimensional
Flat pictures painted with plants and flowers
Three Dimensional
Sculpture created with flowers and plants growing on a frame
